I've really enjoyed looking back on the memories of Sheffields music heritage and some of my old stomping grounds.
I have a couple of Neil's books and also remember him on the scene in the late eighties and early nineties.
The photos are great to reacquaint yourself with bygone days and it's so interesting to me to read all about those years when Sheffield was a thriving, great city. I'm so proud of Sheffields music history as I look back at bands such as Caberet Voltaire, the early Human League, ABC, Artery and Pulp.
I think it's great that Neil has done our cultural music history in Sheffield such justice as he has for other cities also.
I still have such fond memories of The Limit club especially and places like The Hallamshire pub, West Street, X Clothes, Impulse and Rebina Shoes. I still have a pair of my stiletto winkle pickers for posterity! 😁
