He became a close friend, even taking Eddie and Gene Vincent home for tea at his parents' house in Grantham while they were on the road together. Vince was also one of the last people to see Eddie before the tragic accident that claimed his life.
Dave Berry was a young Sheffield music fan when Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent arrived at the city's Gaumont Theatre in 1960. He attended the show and met both American stars, an experience he has never forgotten.
