They say a picture says a thousand words – and the author of a title starring hundreds of the town’s revellers of the ‘80s is about to prove it.
Neil Anderson is set to officially launch his new ‘Dirty Stop Out’s Guide to 1980s Chesterfield – In Pictures’ at Soresby Street’s Tallbird Records next week and a limited number of free tickets are available.
He’ll be talking about growing up in an era dominated by nightclubs like the Aquarius, Moulin Rouge, Fascination and the Adam & Eve.
The book is the follow-up to the best-selling ‘Dirty Stop Out’s Guide to 1980s Chesterfield’ which was published in 2013.
Neil Anderson will be joined by illustrator and storyboard artist Carl Flint that worked on the book and designed a collection of T-shirts and other merchandise dedicated to the era.
Neil Anderson said: “There was such an amazing variety of places to go out in Chesterfield in the ‘80s. There were so many local bands and vibrant club nights – the project has brought back some fantastic memories for me.”
The event is set to take place next Thursday, October 21st, from 6pm until 7pm at Tallbird Records.
