Brilliant book

It's a brilliant book as are all the rest. No self respecting Brummie should be without a copy. Crammed full of details of places I frequented and some that I had forgotten about. Also some I was asked to leave .lol The book is worth every penny.Jim and Ron Simpson have done a marvelous job and a huge thanks to Neil Anderson for making it all happen. Roll on Volume 2

Brought back my youth

I loved this book! As a Rebecca's and Barbarella's regular it had lot's of reminders, loved the pictures of my old haunts although a bit shocked they look a bit dated! Very informative, it filled in gaps that I was too young to remember. Those were the days. Am sending one off to another Birmingham exile.

Fantastic

I purchased this book for a recently retired friend who (mis)spent much of his youth in these legendary clubs, and attending gigs in Brum.

I contacted DSO to arrange for a personalised message, which they duly obliged. The book arrived a little late for Christmas - but that had more to do with the Postal Strikes than anything else.

My friend is really pleased with the book, and the personal message included, and is happily telling me about the times he went to Mothers, Barbarellas, Liberty’s to dance and drink the night away.
