We’re hugely sorry to say we’re having to postpone our Wap Years reunion due to the rise of the new Omicron variant.
The raft of new Government restrictions coupled with weeks of mixed messages has caused many people to re-think their plans and, as a result, made the event untenable at the present time.
We have therefore made the decision to move the event to Saturday, July 9th, 2022. We hope the warmer weather and completed booster shot drive will ensure everyone is ready to rock!
Original tickets will be valid or you are welcome to claim a full refund from your point of sale.
Our Wapentake reunion was one of the first clubnights to take place following the easing of restrictions in the summer of 2021.
And it proved so popular we returning next summer!
Legendary Wapentake DJ Ken Hall returns to the decks to play an evening of true rock classics.
If you frequented the iconic Sheffield rock bar you'll know the songs and you'll know the people - or maybe you're just keen to find out what the fuss was all about!
The venue was the subject of our recent ‘Dirty Stop Out's Guide to Sheffield - Wapentake Edition' book which chronicles the life of the subterranean bar that ran for nearly a quarter of a century underneath the Grosvenor House Hotel in the city centre.
The bar - fronted by legendary landlady Olga Marshall - was first frequented by rockers in the early 1970s and hosted one of the earliest shows by Def Leppard. The band returned in 1995 at the height of their fame to play once more - just months before the bar shut for the last time.
Tickets are just £8 each (plus P&P).
