We’re a celebration of the UK’s rich night culture.
The ‘Dirty Stop Out’s Guide’ started life way back in 1995 as a critically acclaimed A to Z of Sheffield nightspots.
Our first retro edition, ‘Dirty Stop Out’s Guide to 1970s Sheffield’, was an instant best-seller when it was launched in 2010 and became famous nationally when it persuaded Ann and Chris Jackson to REMARRY after 26 years apart.
We went on to publish additional books on ’50s, ’80s and ’90s Sheffield with the city’s own Peter Stringfellow coming on board to help co-write the ‘60s.
We’ve just launched 1970s’ titles in Liverpool, Manchester, Coventry and Barnsley – we also have additional Chesterfield titles to the 1970s and 1980s with the 1960s on the horizon.
Our first national title, the ‘Dirty Stop Out’s Guide to the Working Men’s Clubs’, has just been released to huge acclaim.
We’re presently looking for writers in other UK cities and towns – if you want to rediscover your mojo then please get in touch!
We also organise retro club nights, sell merchandise and more.
